Goizueta Business School Executive Education:

Integrated Video Marketing

Project Skills:

Marketing, Strategy,

Video Production, Video Editing

Emory University’s Goizueta Business School hired me to create a video marketing strategy for the school’s Executive Education department. Our goal was to increase the Executive Education department’s visibility and brand recognition. Together, we created easily digestible content designed to inform audiences about the department’s various Short Course and Custom Program offerings.

First, I completed a benchmarking study evaluating the Top 25 US Business Schools’ video and content marketing strategies. I then created a complete video strategy designed in accordance with the Goizueta Business School and its Executive Education programs’ branding guidelines.

Once the strategy was finalized, I produced the videos. The production process included script development, production scheduling, shoot management, and video editing.  The various videos feature Fortune 500 companies — such as UPS and SunTrust — and their respective executives alongside participants and faculty of the Executive Education programs.

Branding Strategy & Website Redesign

Project Skills:

Marketing, Brand Strategy,

Graphic Design, Web Design

In early 2018, Deborah J Schafer, CPA approached me for help updating her website. After evaluating her website and competitors, I recommended she invest in quite a bit more than a new website. Over the course of a few months, I worked with Ms. Schaefer to build her 35-year-old company a new, brand identity and strategy. We created a brand style guide, implemented new backend booking, scheduling, and mailing list management processes, and redesigned her website — modernizing its design and improving its functionality.

Delta Airlines & Goizueta Business School

Corporate Partnership

Project Skills:

Corporate Partnerships, Strategy, Video Production & Editing

As part of the Full-Time MBA at Goizueta Business School, students are required to participate in a Mid-Semester Module. Many of these modules are trips to countries around the world that enable students to learn about international business practices and cultures. In 2017, Goizueta Business School partnered with Delta Airlines to launch the first ever Delta MSM Competition. The winner would receive full round-trip airfare for their MSM travels.

I was hired to produce two videos for the 2017 MSM trips. The first was a video that announced — with great fanfare and excitement — the locations for the 2017 trips. In order to produce this video, I selected, purchased, and edited together B-Roll and music that would create excitement about the six travel locations.

The second was a collaboration with the Delta Airlines CMO and marketing team to announce and launch the competition. After finalizing the details of the competition with the Delta corporate leadership, I wrote a script, managed and directed the shoots, and oversaw the editing process. The final video, once approved by the CMO of Delta Airlines, was presented to all Full-Time MBA students and published on the Business Schools’ social media channels.

Girl Scouts of Northeastern New York

Video Editing Project

Project Skills:

Video Editing

This is a quick and fun project I did for the Girl Scouts of Northeastern New York. In addition to completing strategy work for their marketing team, I used prerecorded footage and selected music to edit down a video for scouts and their parents. The video showed off a prize that scouts would win if they sold enough boxes.

Emory University Student Government

Restructure & Rebranding

After being elected President of the Emory University Graduate Student Government Association (GSGA), I realized that the 50-year-old student government structure lacked fair representation for the institution’s graduate students — a population which accounted for 48% of the University’s student body. To remedy this representation disparity, I collaborated with all relevant university stakeholders to determine what the future of student government should look like. Together, we successfully implemented a new structure better-suited to serving Emory University’s present student population.

In short, the new structure would split the government into two governing bodies: the Student Government Association (SGA) representing Emory’s 7,800 graduate students and the GSGA representing Emory’s 7,200 graduate students. The bill was posed to the entire student body and passed with 91.2% of voters in favor of the new structure.

Project Skills:

Strategy, Operations, Governance

Financial Management,

Marketing Strategy, Video Production

From the bill’s passing through the end of my term, I built the new GSGA from the ground up. I led a successful rebrand, solidifying the new organization’s recognition across campus, and  created a full set of governing, financial, and administrative documents/processes that enabled the organization to run effectively for its constituents.

Impact from my work restructuring Emory’s student government system reached from the Board of Trustees throughout the entire student body. This work earned me the Marion Luther Brittain Award, presented each year to two graduating students —one undergraduate and one graduate — who have performed the most, “significant, meritorious, and devoted service to Emory University, with no expectations of recognition or reward.” In 2018, I was also named one of the 100 Go Beyond Stories. This honor celebrates 100 individuals who have impacted Goizueta Business School over its 100-year history.
